Concept:
The fish is my version of the bird of peace. It communicates softly and kindly that peace is the very change that this world needs. I’m from Ukraine and I see this, and the bird becomes the fish of peace ; as peace takes on a different form, so does the animal representing it, a playful way to deform our ideas of peace.
Here in France many years ago Picasso made a bird of peace, and it’s this same symbolism, though peace has changed, that we see on this poster, chosen for a festival seen by people from all the world. An artistic message of peace, love, kindness, as art has the power to convey what words cannot.
